Unfortunately, the director did not do muchĭirecting so Taylor seemed like a fish out of water through no fault of her With more respect, and set up to succeed with the next film in the series. I can only hope that Taylor is given a better story, treated “television event” that came across more like an improved independent Now on the receiving end of all the negative viewer comments for this supposed Treated Taylor Cole with the star respect that she deserves. With her romance movies, one would have expected this sister network to have One of Hallmark’s top actresses who regularly brings in over 3 million viewers Hallmark Movies & Mysteries set up Taylor Cole to fail with this movie. I don’t know about the other viewers but I felt like They wrecked their chance to allow her to make a good first What did they do? What have they done to Taylor Cole? This I guess they are not the type to take pride in It almost came across as them just wanting to get over Showed how devoid of imagination the hair and make – up team that was assigned The hair piece wasn’t only distracting, it The hair style team did not even try toĮxperiment with a new look for Taylor in this scene. Herring should have been better dressed, better made-up, and, most specially,īetter coiffed for the event. Look at the hair style used on Taylor for the wedding reception scene: The hair should have been styled for certain scenesĪs the sister of the bride AND Maid of Honor, Ruby While any viewer can accept a uniform hair style for the actor throughout most of the movie, dress-up scenes are an exception. It wasn’t until the last half of the movie when, I think, the hair styleĭepartment finally caught on and got a more decent wig for her to use. Specially when it got wet and looked literally like mop strands dripping with Time the hair looked like it wanted to jump off poor Taylor’s head. During close-ups, the wigĪppeared to be a weave instead, worked into her dyed natural hair. Like a dyed mop was plopped onto Taylor’s head. What were the people in this department thinking? The hair was just one of the issues that plagued the filmĪt the start of the movie, I thought that the wig looked Then we come to the hair and make-up disaster. How did that type of delivery and acting get past the director? What was this movie? Shot in 7 days so re-shoots couldn’t be done? Lines such as, “Oh my goodness Ruby you found it.” delivered devoid of emotion and added to the wooden acting of Alyson Walker as Charlotte Herring when a piece of vital evidence was found by Ruby, really left the whole supposedly climactic scene not only cold, but laughable. Sense the inner cringe that the actors felt as they delivered the lines. The dialogue was so cheesy at times that one can almost Instead of a professional writer who actually went to film school to learn how Sounded as if it were written by an amateur working on a fan fiction story The problems all started with the script. When the script was being mangled by the script-writing team of the network. I am guessing it started in pre production. The problems with the movie no doubt started long before the cameras started rolling. From the bad wig to amateur dialogue, I blame the network for this one. While the series is admittedly off to a bumpy start, I don’t believe that Taylor, as an actress, is to blame for the mishaps the first story in the series encountered. That is why I had high hopes for her first limited mystery series for the channel’s sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. However, after I gave her Hallmark movie specials a chance, I came to the conclusion that she had some of the most interesting and entertaining story-lines to come out of the Hallmark Channel. Her masculine beauty and strong screen presence was something I had a difficult time adjusting to at first. I will be the first to admit, I only recently came on to the Taylor Cole bandwagon. Taylor Cole gets a baptism of fire in her first mystery movie outing
